Its time for an update on my Silent Hill Inspired Monster Costume (really need a better name comment if you have a good one)
After taking a break from the costume last year im really amping it up this year with the details on this costume.
UPDATES TO BE DONE!
-I purchased a Flesh Colored Lycra Spandex Zentai Suit online and it should be here in a week or so, and i could not be more excited to start the grossifying process to give it that trademark silent hill monster skin look. splotchy and bruised. and since the suit will be all one piece of fabric with small seems it will help sell the illusion that my body actually looks like that. main point! no Seams! And i will finally get what Ive always wanted from the very initial design of this costume a skin tight mask.
- The Silly String Chest Rig i wore the last year i wore the costume was great but it had some major flaws. in mechanical design its fantastic but only until i need to swap out the empty can for a new one... it was hell and a waste of time swapping the cans, so im completely remaking the chest rig to be more compact, more secure to my body, and the big one easier to change the spray can for a new one.
- I'm Stripping the Arm stilts and the leg stilts and re-upholstering them in a sense to more more lightweight and secure on me, after a couple of hours of putting most of my weight on my hands which are holding onto tiny metal poles i couldn't use my hands the next day. so i will be greatly improving the grips inside the arms. as well as making the forearm support straps a bit more comfortable.
- As well as stripping the arms of the fabric before i put the fabric back on i will be enlarging the diameter of the arms with something a little more stable and lightweight, right now there is a pillow and ton of stuffing inside each arm that makes the bottom of the arms just a bit too heavy.
so there is a lot to be done in two months but i am not missing out this Halloween... we had kids and parents coming to our house asking about "the big monster guy" i must not disappoint my fans this year
I will post pictures of the updates as they come, right now its going a little slow waiting for the zentai suit and getting the other peices of the costume to my apartment so yea im going a little nuts...

Time for a new journal....

I noticed i havent written a journal since before i moved out lol
well lets see things on the table... Homework... HOMEWORK... time manegement...Money... Making people happy... fucking laundry D: ... keeping myself sane...
im mostly being over dramatic but really this college thing is a lot of work (dont even say i told you so..) but i dont think its nothing i cant handle right now. i just wish i had more time in a day sure i only have 5 classes 4 of which demand homework almost every class lol enough about my problems
i wanna talk about art! well ive been keeping my eye out for freelance jobs around campus that i can do like making flyers for clubs or designing logos for school events. so far ive designed a cool little flyer for the humanitarian club on campus and those flyers will be up today. i attempted to design a logo for the home comming week events, but i didnt catch the deadline quick enough. hopfully theres more of these oppurtunitys for me to get my work out in the public and hopfully get a little bit of a reputation out there
ive been working my arse off in my art class to learn new concepts and stuff but the class seems to go up and down in terms of how enjoyable and relevant the projects are becoming lol sometimes we do really creative fun projects now im having to paint a realistic pattern on a dress and have it practically be life size... its just kind of stupid... i can see where it would work in a fashion and design class...which they have availiable... but im in there to learn more advanced concepts. and this seems like a waste of time.
Digital art! my classes are getting more into digital art stuff so im pretty stoked to show off some of my skills in that. as well as get some good grades hopfully and ive been doing some practice in my free time like the painful morning painting. trying to focus more on painting concepts rather than sketching concepts using shades to show depth rather than lines... its tough stuff for a person like me that learned with just pencil drawings
anyways thats all i got for now

Moving out to college friday

thats right, i finally take the next step of my life and im moving out to my dorm tomorrow, and then i start classes on monday. im going to be a graphic design major focused on advertisment/ film and video, and im super excited 
and nervous lol, but im really glad to be moving on with my life and hopfully getting more serious about my art, and developing my skills. and it will be nice living in a town with stuff to do on the downtime, and the cool thing is its only 45 minutes away from my home so i can visit my parents whenever i get a chance
anyway, sorry i havent had many updates lately its been hectic getting all the paperwork sorted out and helping my gf get her financial aid and stuff, and packing...oh man the packing lol but yea, i hope to get some time to actually sit down and work on art here after i move to my dorm.

Yep my Toshiba Portege M750 will be arriving Probebly tomorrow (monday) then i can start setting it up to be my new art station and working on my drawing/painting skills and hopfully getting as good as adonhis and the others

Toshiba Portege` M750 Tablet PC

Ok ive decided not to go with the HP Tx2z tablet, because of the lack of wacom tech in the screen, yes it uses N-trig but N-trig doesnt have drivers for photoshop yet, and i really want pressure sensitivity, So im going with the Toshiba M750 tablet, this tablet really seems unpopular but i read alot about previous toshiba tablets and they seem to be really good, so i dont see why this one shouldnt be just as good, and it has wacom screen tech. overall it seems like a solid laptop but the only thing that scares me is the lack of reviews and videos on it so i havent seen a lot of hands on stuff as much as i have the other options, but i think it will suit me fine, anythings gotta be better than what im running on my old laptop :
